Dear Santa,
I’m really loving the sound of this new Nike+ sportband. The watch I have now is terribly inaccurate. It measures distance by a control run you do to set it up, and relies on the length of your strides remaining constant. This Nike+ sportband has a foot pod to attach to your sneakers and measures your distance. It only has two buttons which is ideal for me since I’m usually fumbling with mine to get it started and frequently reset my workout by accident when I’m trying to switch modes. I like the clear display, and the ability to use the Nike+ program online to track your workouts. Here’s the catch… you need Nike+ compatible shoes to use this with. Considering I still hate my new sneakers and am looking for an excuse to get new ones anyways, this whole Nike+ program is tempting to jump into. Nike never fails to come up with ways to convince athletes they need their products, and as a big fan of their advertising, good for them. I’m convinced.

Your local running store likely sells a little rubber holder for the Nike+ sensor. Ties onto your laces like a timing chip. I have used both the holder and a Nike+ compatible shoe. They both work fine.
